James P. Tabaczynski has 40 years communications experience including agency and corporate public relations as well as more than 20 years as an independent practitioner. He holds an M.A. in Journalism/Public Relations from Kent (OH) State University and a B.A. in English from Edinboro (PA) State College.
His public relations experience has covered a broad range of clients from major corporations such as BFGoodrich, Dow Chemical and Sherwin-Williams to small and emerging companies such as IMARC, GymValet, Netsco, Skills Enrichment Group and Nifty50s. He has also served very specialized and civic clients such as the Cleveland Technical Societies Council, Cleveland Police Athletic League, NorTech, the Cuyahoga County Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument and WIRE-Net.
Tabaczynski served two, 3-year terms as a member of the Board of Directors of the East Central District of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). He also served four, 3-year terms on the board of PRSA’s Greater Cleveland Chapter during which time he was the Chapter’s treasurer. In 2003, he received the Greater Cleveland Chapter’s President’s Award “for service and dedication to advancing the public relations profession and the professional.”
For more than ten years, he chaired the Greater Cleveland PRSA’s Independent Practitioners Group. In addition, he has been a regular presenter at the COSE (Council of Smaller Enterprises) Small Business Conference as well as colleges and other professional groups.
